Scott Paterno Says Dad Joe Paterno Has Lung Cancer
Joe Paterno’s month just got worse.
After getting fired from Pen State for allegedly allowing his defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky to sexually abuse young men, the former head coach has revealed that he has lung cancer.
The former head of the Penn State Nittany Lions’s son Joe Paterno made the announcement to AP on Friday, explaining that his father has a treatable form of lung cancer, is responding well to treatments and asked for some privacy during these difficult times.
