Arthur Berkowitz: The Passenger Forced To Stand Seven Hours On US Airways Flight 901
Arthur Berkowitz recently sat down with Christopher Elliot of Elliot.org to share his horrible experience on US Airways Flight 901 from Alaska to Philadelphia where he was forced to stand for over seven hours after the company decided to seat a four hundred-pound man next to him.
According to the story posted on the consumer advocacy blog, Arthur Berkowitz was already in his seat when without any notice US Airways personals put the obese man on the two empty chairs next to him and he rapidly understood that he would have to give up his chair also.
A disappointed and frustrated Berkowitz revealed that for miseries that included standing for seven hours and not being able to use a seat belt during takeoff and landing the company had the audacity to offer him a two hundred dollar voucher – knowing that he paid eight hundred dollars for his ticket.
This is not the last US Airways has heard of Arthur Berkowitz.
