Bishop Eddie Long Divorce Still On
Despite Bishop Eddie Long’s very public sex scandal where he was accused by four young men of exchanging sex for fancy gifts, his second wife Vanessa Griffin Long has surprised many by announcing that she is standing by his side.
On Thursday Mrs Long who has been married to the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church preacher for 21 years issued a statement revealing that after praying she has decided to file for divorce.
Less than 24 hours after the announcement Vanessa Griffin Long published a new statement where she explained that she changed her mind and is trying to “heal” with her anti-gay spouse.
Back in May in a settlement out of court, the megachurch pastor was forced to pay over a million dollars to the four young men who had accused him of sexual misconduct.
A late statement on Friday from Vanessa Griffin Long’s lawyer revealed that the divorce was back on the table.
