Man and Dog Rescued From Cliff In California

Last night Californians were glued to their television sets watching a very daring rescue take place on the northeast of San Fernando Valley.
Helicopters, climbers and firefighters all teamed up to rescue Ivan Salas, a teenager who found himself dangling on the edge of a cliff while he was trying to save his dog Lola.
The 19-year-old boy was hiking with his father who had the brilliant idea of tossing a bottle close to the cliff for the one-year-old German Shepherd to fetch – which she did and fell over.
Without thinking it through Ivan jumped behind the puppy and was left stranded 150ft on a ledge for over an hour as he waited to be airlifted to safety.
Salas who was unhurt after the ordeal thanked his rescuers, invited the rescue team to dinner and explained that he loves Lola so much that if he had to do it again – he would have.
