Parents of a toddler were outraged to learn that last October an employee at their day care had the insane idea of duck taping their child to the floor when the kid refused to sleep.

According to the police report Alicia Lyons with the help of another caregiver at the the Mustard Seeds Daycare Centre in Ludlow, Kentucky, pinned and eventually taped the 18-month-old child on his sleeping mate then lied to her boss about her actions.

But when the parents of the little boy and other workers confronted her, Alicia Lyons, 20, eventually confessed and was immediately fired from her post.

Alicia Lyons who had been working at the Mustard Seeds Daycare Centre since August 18, 2011 was arrested, charged with first-degree criminal abuse, taken to the the Kenton County jail last week and released on a $2,500 bond.

The story below shows that it is something that happens too often in day cares.
