Oprah Nielsen Ratings Tweet Apology
On Grammy night, media mogul Oprah was on Twitter sharing her thoughts on the show with fans as she watched Adele picking 6 trophies and saw several celebrities payed tribute to the late Whitney Houston.
During the broadcast the TV host had the unwise idea of inviting her millions of followers to tune in to her television network OWN and catch her talk show “Oprah’s Next Chapter.” She tweeted:
“Every1 who can please turn to OWN especially if u have a Nielsen box.”
During a commercial break she added:
“Commercial Grammy people..u can turn to OWN.”
Oprah Winfrey was blasted by many for being desperate and begging people to help her failing channel.
The billionaire who eventually learned that she violated Nielsen rules has apologized, stating that she was unaware that she was breaking the rules.
