Lesbian Couple Barred From Prom: Hope Decker And Tiffany Wright Story Goes Viral

It appears that president Barack Obama’s public support for same-sex marriage did not affect policies in American schools.

A gay couple who decided to attend their school’s prom was turned away because the heads of the Lexington Catholic School believe that homosexuality is a sin.

18-year-old Hope Decker, and 16-year-old Tiffany Wright who are from Lexington, Ky told local media that while they were warned in advance not to take part in the event because of their sexual orientations – they decided to show up anyway.

The pair who was dressed in prom gowns was kicked out of the party eventually held a mini-prom in the school’s parking lot.

The school president, Steve Angelucci explained his decision to ban Hope Decker and Tiffany Wright in the following statement:

“As a Catholic high school, we uphold every teaching of the Catholic Church. The policies and procedures of our school reflect those teachings.”

Hope Decker and Tiffany Wright slammed Steve Angelucci for being homophobic and hypocritical for allowing couples who were having premarital sex at the event.
