A young girl by the name of Marcella Marino was banned from being present at her school picture due to her hairstyle that was inspired by Lady Gaga (in 2009 the “Poker Face” star was photographed with Mickey Mouse like ears made out of blonde hair on her head).

The 4-year-old child showed up for picture day with her blonde hair tied up in a giant bow inspired by the controversial star when school authorities in London told her that she was breaking the rules.

The father of Marcella Marino, Marcello Marino who owns Marcello’s Hair Salon in Ramsgate, Kent, created the fancy updo for his daughter.

Mr. Marino explained that the toddler returned home in tears after being turned away and added:

‘Marcella asked me if I could do her hair like a princess for the school photo and I came up with a simple but elegant style, using her hair to make a bow.I thought it looked wonderful and Marcella loved it, but when she went for the school photo she was told she wasn’t allowed to wear her hair in that style because of the dress code.’

While a majority of people who saw the photos on Twitter thought that she looked adorable and blasted the school for being dictators – others went after the dad who used his kid for publicity for his hair salon.
