Woman Charged With Stealing Fire Ambulance: Cassie Weathersby Not Talking

Cassie Weathersby who was a patient at an Illinois hospital decided to flee the premises in an ambulance.

On Sunday evening Weathersby stole the ambulance that belonged to the South Side fire department and left the hospital.

The 30-year-old woman who was intoxicated, crashed the vehicle on a nearby expressway at around 11 p.m.

According to Chicago police spokesman Ron Gaines, Weathersby was arrested charged with stealing the vehicle, driving on a suspended license and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Weathersby who was scheduled to appear in bond court today has refused to talk to reporters asking her how did the accident happen and whether or not she had an attorney to represent her.
