Homeless Texas Man Timothy Yost Finds $77,000, Gets to Keep It
A homeless man by the name of Timothy Yost who made a brief stop near the banks of the Colorado River to wash his feet is now $77,000 richer.
The Texas man was on his way to visit family members who had managed to get him a job interview when he stumbled upon a bag that contained a pile of hundred dollars bill and gold coins.
The 46-year-old took his wet stash of cash to a nearby bank to exchange them for dry bills.
The teller of the First National Bank called authorities because she deemed Yost’s activities suspicious.
Timothy Yost shared his unbelievable story with Texas police who confiscated the load of cash and waited 30 days to see if the owner would claim it.
Police Chief Michael Blake eventually gave the hefty amount to Yost who must be thrilled that he decided to wash his feet that day.
